Calmed down…

Ok, so here we go again. After my first experiences I have decided it is better for my sanity not to change my main Facebook page permanently to my business persona. I seem to be getting on quite nicely just carefully switching back and forth, with all due attention, that is, in order not to loose the vital links. A vague idea is dawning on me slowly that somehow the profile section may hide the clue for these switches, I must investigate that further. Right now, that’ll go on my to-do list, though.

I’m still perplexed on how to add sites that I like to my business page, it’s just not the same as on the personal one. And when I add one I find it turns up on my personal page but not on my business page. What a muddle. Did I already mention that I don’t like muddles? Hit and miss it seems – I only ever get to choose from the five or six avatars that miraculously appear along the side when I look over the business part… except the ones I want are never there, hmpf. Who decides what shows up? This is just so annoying. I end up with a whole list of added sites but can’t get hold of the ones I want!

On another note, here’s something interesting – once I have 25 ‘likes’ I get to choose a user friendly url. Meaning, …, erm…? Oh, right, a proper name as opposed to all that gobbledegook number-letter-symbol-salad that usually spreads over three rows when you copy and paste your Facebook link to somebody. Is that beneficial? Why would I want to give folk my Facebook page when I can give them my own web address? I thought Facebook was all about linking together from one page to the next? …Oh well, can’t do any harm, I suppose.

Reaching that number would be easier if more people in my contact list reacted to the initial notification they were sent when I set up the page. There are mostly total strangers on there so far. I don’t think the list should be called friends list, ‘uninterested-casual-passers-by-log’ would be more appropriate, then the indifference would not be so disappointing. Best get to work and step on some ‘friends’ toes with a private message.

Et voilà, now I have the magical 25. So as of today I am officially and easily findable on Yes, I know that is bad English but it isn’t a bad result after just a couple of days. I think. For me, anyway. All that outgoing stuff is just not my thing so this is quite an achievement. Now what? …. RENNNEEE …!!!
